Computer Training Resources was established by Joan Shumaker in March 1989. For eight years prior to this time, Miss Shumaker managed computer software training at Georgia State University Computer Center, providing training for not only the faculty and staff but also the general public. She holds a M.Ed. in Adult Education Program Management with a concentration in Business Information Systems. In addition, she is a Microsoft Office Specialist Master Instructor and a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.  Computer Training Resources’ trainers are also well experienced and qualified, many holding a M.Ed. and having a minimum of 10 years of computer software training experience.

Computer Training Resources Inc. has provided computer software training, courseware development, software consultation and support for over 300 businesses and organizations in the Atlanta metropolitan area. Training engagements have included assisting organizations in converting from one software program to another, providing walk-around support, performing needs analysis, curriculum design, custom training plans, establishing a self-paced learning center, software consulting and troubleshooting services, providing both classroom and individual training.  Consulting services have included setting up QuickBooks software, reviewing and cleaning up QuickBooks files, locating appropriate software solutions, and connecting clients with their technology and business partners.  Clients have ranged from small businesses to nonprofit organizations to universities to law firms to large corporations.
